Our Supporters
Independence Australia is deeply grateful for the generosity of our many supporters across the community. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of people living with a disability or other personal need.
In November, we hosted the 18th annual Independence Australia Daddo Charity Golf Day – our flagship charity fundraising event. We were stoked to be joined by 130 supporters and 16 Partners, collectively raising funds to continue providing vital mental health support to people living with a disability or personal need.
Throughout the year our long standing fundraising appeals continued, engaging long-time supporters of our purpose raising critical funds for the continuation of supports where funding gaps occur for people with a disability or other personal needs, their families and loved ones.
These appeals shared powerful stories of the very real people that have been supported by Independence Australia, like Cory and his support worker John.
We transitioned to a new fundraising platform that will allow us to better connect and engage with our supporters and personalise their giving experience to create stronger connections to our purpose.
“John has helped me build me confidence, relationships with others and has helped me learn how to talk to others. I feel comfortable getting out in the world now.” – Cory
